The Kentucky Genealogical Society is excited to announce the release of its 2025 Program Brochure, detailing a comprehensive lineup of events and initiatives designed to support and inspire family historians throughout the year. Members can look forward to monthly virtual presentations featuring expert genealogists covering a wide range of topics, from navigating War of 1812 records to transforming family lineages into compelling narratives. These sessions aim to equip researchers with the knowledge and tools necessary to delve deeper into their Kentucky ancestry.

Just as the Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Day Concert delights millions with its grand musical traditions, so does my family history journey when I see all the pieces fall into place. Watching my research evolve from fragments of information into a comprehensive legacy is akin to that soaring final movement of a symphony—elevating, awe-inspiring, and deeply rewarding.

Since its creation in 2019, the Kentucky Digitization Grant has helped preserve rare, one-of-a-kind Kentucky primary source records and made them accessible to the public. Including this round, a total of 18 projects have been funded totaling $56,700.
