  • The Filson Historical Society library, located at 1310 S. Third Street, Louisville, Kentucky, houses 1.8 million documents, 50,000 books, 10,000 museum items, 75 years of digitized, searchable issues of The Filson History Quarterly, 15,000 digitized historical manuscripts, books, and prints, and 400+ portraits, thousands of historic photographs.   • John Fox, Jr. Genealogical Library Paris KY (near Lexington)

    The Kentucky Society Daughters of the American Revolution library focused on assisting patrons document their Revolutionary War ancestors. Open to the public, the facility is Located in the Duncan Tavern Historic Center, Paris, Kentucky.

  • KDLA is the repository for the public records of Kentucky or those created by state and local government agencies. Their collection includes over 65,000 rolls of microfilm as well as 100,000 cubic feet of original paper records. Records include deed books, marriage records, will books, circuit and appellate court case files, census and military records, and more.   • The library collections include over 90,000 published works, over 15,000 reels of microfilm, over 10,000 cubic feet of archival records including genealogical vertical files, manuscripts, photographs, maps, and atlases, and over 9,000 oral history interviews.

  • The National Society Sons of the American Revolution library is located at 809 West Main Street, Louisville, KY. The library maintains a large collection of genealogical and historical reference materials for research by SAR members and the general public.
