Followup Webinar Q&A and Card Analysis for A New Way to Come to Terms with the Past

How to Research NSDAP Cards Online

What You Will Learn

This webinar is the second in our series on researching NSDAP cards. There won’t be a formal presentation – instead, our speaker will take audience questions and look in detail at a few Party cards submitted by attendees.
You are welcome to attend even if you do not attend the first webinar in the series, but we strongly encourage you to watch the first webinar [LINK WILL BE PROVIDED ONCE FIRST WEBINAR HAS AIRED].

IMPORTANT: Because this is a sensitive and important topic and it’s essential to discuss it responsibly, we ask attendees to submit questions and cards in advance so our speaker can prepare fully-researched answers.

If you have questions, would like help understanding a card you’ve found, or would like help searching for a card, please contact Elizabeth Allen-Pennebaker by July 6, 2026 at elizabethallenpennebaker@kygs.org.

Note: Please feel free to request that we redact the name on your ancestor’s card if we discuss it in the webinar.

Speaker

Elizabeth Allen-Pennebaker, DPhil, is the Vice President of the Kentucky Genealogical Society. Her deep connection to German history began with family stories of her mother’s childhood experiences as the daughter of US diplomats in 1939 Vienna. This sparked a lifelong fascination, leading to an MA in German from the University of Vermont, followed by a Master of Studies in European Literature (with distinction) and a doctorate from the University of Oxford, all specializing in Austrian Studies. After serving on the faculty at Champlain College from 2011 to 2022, she transitioned to full-time entrepreneurship.
