SUMMARY:Researching German Heritage from Here to There
DESCRIPTION:What You Will Learn\nRecognizing many Kentuckians have German roots\, this presentation will lay out how to discover those roots in resources in the United States and in Germany. With deep German roots herself\, the presenter will address handling challenges like finding an ancestor’s Heimat (home)\, dealing with German script\, and navigating border changes. \nSpeaker\nSusan J. Court\, M.A.\, J.D.\, genealogist and family historian\, is a Director-at-Large and immediate past Co-President of the Kentucky Genealogical Society\, and is a frequent speaker at genealogy conferences\, a teacher of genealogy\, and the author of 13 family histories and 22 genealogy or history articles.
