This presentation will introduce you to the Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center collections.

The presentation will cover how to explore the expansive holdings and datafiles of The Genealogy Center in Fort Wayne, IN to plan a research trip to Fort Wayne as well as to use the Genealogy Center remotely. Effectively using the online catalog, free databases, and the Periodical Source Index will be covered.

Speaker

Curt Witcher is the Director of Special Collections at the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, IN, managing The Genealogy Center as well as The Rolland Center for Lincoln Research. He is in his forty-fifth year of service at the Allen County Public Library. Curt is a former president of both the Federation of Genealogical Societies and the National Genealogical Society, and the founding president of the Indiana Genealogical Society. He has penned hundreds of articles on topics of interest to family historians, librarians and archivists, and has presented lectures to numerous historical and genealogical groups.
