If you have done autosomal DNA testing and taken basic steps to interpret your test results and maybe identify potential cousins or ancestors, this seminar is definitely for you! Blaine Bettinger, nationally known as The Genetic Genealogist, will present four sessions to help you take your genetic genealogy research to the next level:

Sessions:
Using Autosomal DNA to Explore Your Ancestry – Learn how to analyze your ethnicity estimates, find long-lost cousins, and examine specific genealogical problems.

Using Autosomal DNA for 18th and 19th Century Mysteries – Discover ways to use the DNA inherited by your ancestors’ descendants to attack genealogical mysteries and brick walls.

Are You Doing Everything to Identify Your Matches? – Examine numerous ways to use profiles of your matches to identify who they might be. Also examine ways to use the In Common With tool and the Shared Matches tool to estimate how that elusive match is related to you.

Introduction to Chromosome Mapping – Chromosome mapping assigns pieces of DNA you share with a known cousin to the ancestor or ancestral couple you share with that cousin. Learn more about the basics of chromosome mapping and how to use a third-party mapping tool called DNA Painter.
